Kitsch is an exercise in kosmic pop. The lo-fi electronics, atmospheric vocals, and other-worldly rhythms will put you in a trance. Simple, rich layers of sound complement and contradict each other. “MIMI, UA” takes place in a doomed dancehall. “SOLEIL” drags you to the Sun and floats you back down to Earth. “GAJANG” utilizes alien noise to create an alien groove.

This experimental record is unique in the Maybe Mars catalog, and certainly unlike anything else in the Chinese underground.

(((10))) was formed on October 10th, 2005 by Korean new wave avant-garde musician Itta and Japanese noise creator Marqido are the members. “10” = 1 from Itta’s existence, 0 from Marqido’s Maru.
